Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Karol Party Booth (“the app”, “we”, “us”) handles
information when you use the app. By using Karol Party Booth you agree to this policy.
1. Who does what
- Karol Party Booth provides the app and the cloud backup used to
operate a party booth at an event.
- The Event Host (the photographer, organizer or venue running the
booth) decides what events to create and is responsible for obtaining any consent
needed from guests to be photographed and to have their photos and videos stored
and shared.
- Guests use the booth to capture and share their own photos and
videos.
2. Information we collect
- Account information — when you sign in with Sign in with Apple, we
receive an opaque Apple user identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name
and email address (which may be an Apple private-relay address). We never receive
your Apple ID password.
- Device identifier — a random identifier created on your device to
sync your events across your iPads and to enforce the single-device 24-hour pass.
- Event media — the photos, videos and GIFs captured during your
events, which are backed up to cloud storage.
- Purchase information — your purchase and subscription status
(entitlements), so the app knows whether Pro features are unlocked. Payments are
processed by Apple; we do not receive your card details.
- Feedback — if you send feedback from inside the app, we store the
message you wrote along with your display name and app version.
- Diagnostics — standard crash data, only if you have chosen to share
it with developers in your iOS settings.
3. What we do not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not show ads and do not use third-party
advertising or analytics SDKs.
- We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
- We do not run face recognition. The optional background-replacement
feature uses Apple’s on-device Vision framework to separate a person from the
background; it runs entirely on your device and does not create or store any
biometric identifier.
4. How we use information
We use the information above only to provide the app’s features: signing you in,
creating and syncing events across your devices, backing up and displaying event media,
projecting the slideshow, sharing captures, applying your purchases, and responding to
your feedback and support requests. This is “App Functionality” use only.
5. Where your data is stored
- Apple — for Sign in with Apple and for purchases and subscriptions
(StoreKit).
- Google Drive — event media and the small configuration files the app
uses (event list, license and feedback) are stored on Google Drive. During early
access this is a Google Drive workspace managed by Karol Party Booth, with each
account kept in its own folder. Per-user Drive sign-in is planned for a future
version. Access to that workspace is limited to the developer and to the host
account that owns the event.
6. Sharing of captures
Guests can share their captures by AirDrop (a direct device-to-device transfer that does
not pass through us) or by QR code, which links to the event’s cloud folder. There is no
public feed; captures are not shown to other guests.
7. Data retention and deletion
Event media remains in cloud storage until the host deletes it or requests deletion.
You can ask us to delete your data — including your account information and event
media — by emailing felipe.velizrs@gmail.com.
You can also stop Sign in with Apple from your Apple ID settings at any time.
8. Children
Karol Party Booth is intended for use by event hosts (adults). Events may include guests
of any age, including minors. The Event Host is responsible for obtaining consent from
guests, or from a parent or guardian where required, before capturing and storing their
photos or videos. If you believe a child’s data has been collected without proper
consent, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections and stored on Apple and Google
infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to
protect your information and keep our access minimal.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will revise the “Last updated” date
above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app or by email.
