Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 8, 2026

Short version: Toss has no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no trackers — we never know who uses the app. Your photos, decisions, and stats stay on your device. The only thing that can ever leave it is an optional feedback message you choose to write, sent anonymously with no name or identifier attached.

This Privacy Policy describes how the iOS application Toss — Swipe & Clean ("Toss", "the app", "we", "us") handles information. Toss is published by Felipe Eduardo Veliz Rosas, an individual developer based in Mexico. The app is distributed exclusively through the Apple App Store.

1. Data we collect

None that identifies you. Toss has no analytics framework, no crash reporting service, no advertising SDK, and no third-party tracking tools. There is no account system, and we do not know who downloads or uses the app. The single exception is the optional feedback form (see section 6): if you choose to send feedback, your message is uploaded anonymously — with no name, account, or device identifier attached.

2. Access to your photo library

When you first launch Toss, iOS will ask whether you grant the app access to your photo library. Toss requests full access for one purpose: so it can display your photos one by one for you to sort.

All photo access happens locally on your device through Apple's PhotoKit framework. Your photos are not uploaded, transmitted, copied to any server, or shared with us or any third party.

3. iCloud Photos (your own Apple account)

If you have iCloud Photos enabled on your device, Toss uses Apple-provided "cloud identifiers" to remember which photos you have already decided to keep or delete, even after you switch to a new iPhone. This synchronization happens entirely through your own Apple iCloud account, between Apple's servers and your devices. We have no access to your iCloud data and we are not the operator of that sync.

If iCloud Photos is disabled, the decisions you make in Toss live only on the current device.

4. Photo deletion

When you confirm a batch delete in the Trash tab, Toss asks iOS to move the selected photos to the system "Recently Deleted" album. iOS handles the actual deletion. Photos can be recovered from "Recently Deleted" for 30 days, per Apple's standard behavior. Toss never deletes photos silently or without showing you the system confirmation dialog.

5. In-app purchases (tip jar)

Toss offers an optional in-app "tip jar" with four consumable products at different price points. These tips are entirely voluntary, do not unlock any features, and are not required to use the app.

All purchases are processed by Apple StoreKit. When you make a purchase:

6. Feedback

The Settings tab includes an optional feedback form where you can pick a category and write a message. Nothing is sent unless you tap "Send".

When you send feedback, your message is uploaded as a single file to a private Google Drive folder owned by the developer. The submission is anonymous: it contains your message, the category you picked, and basic non-identifying diagnostics (app version, build number, device model, iOS version, and app language) to help us reproduce bugs. It does not contain your name, email, Apple ID, account, advertising identifier, or any device identifier that could link your submissions together or back to you. Because submissions carry no identifier, we cannot reply to an individual message and we do not build any profile from feedback.

7. Third-party services and SDKs

Toss does not integrate any third-party SDKs; it uses only Apple's first-party frameworks (PhotoKit, StoreKit, SwiftData, SwiftUI). There are no advertising networks and no analytics providers. The only third-party service the app ever contacts is Google Drive, and only to store an anonymous feedback message when you choose to send one (see section 6). Apart from that, no backend or third party is involved.

8. Children

Toss is rated 4+ but is designed for general audiences (users of any age who want to organize a photo library). We do not knowingly collect data from children. Since we do not collect data from anyone, this is not a special case.

9. International users

Toss is distributed worldwide through the App Store. No personal data is collected. The only information that can leave your device is an anonymous feedback message you choose to send, which is stored on Google Drive and may be processed outside your country. The same privacy guarantee applies to users in every country.

10. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy in the future, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Because the app does not collect contact information, we cannot notify users by email — please check this page if you want to verify the current version.
